I think a lot of people just don't understand what feeds are. And bringing it into the computer lessons in the library will be a good way to educate people to use the new technology. I myself was not sure about bloglines but after playing around and reading a bit about it, I have found that it can be quite useful.It could be useful for customers to add the RSS feeds to their libary account to check the new arrivals of books, cds, dvds etc.

Did you try using any of the RSS search tools? If you blog about your experience with these then i can give you credit for thing 9 as well as thing 8 :)
